Stages Offered

Softball Ontario is currently offering the following developmental levels with plans to add more in the future. All participants will be evaluated at the beginning of the program and will be trained at the level that best suits their needs.

The CANpitch Program is a progression curriculum that is taught in a 6-week training program. Each week the participant will learn more fundamental movements and basic mechanics of pitching and by the end of the 6-weeks the participants will be able to say to their coach “I can pitch an inning if you need.” The way this program is designed is to gently progress each participant is gaining the knowledge and mechanics to feel comfortable in pitching.

Using the CANpitch Program, Softball Canada hopes to allow coaches to encourage every interested player- regardless of their size and athleticism- to try pitching. Softball Ontario would like to encourage pitchers of all ages who are interested in learning the basic fundamentals to sign up for the CANpitch Program!
