Anyone involved with a Local Softball Association in Ontario is encouraged to attend the Symposium, including Youth, Adult, Fast Pitch, Slo-Pitch, and Orthodox/Modified Associations!
We welcome anyone who is interested in attending the Symposium to attend! However if your Association is applying for the Travel Subsidy Program, Softball Ontario will only cover the cost of up to four (4) Association Representatives.
To qualify for the Travel Subsidy Program, you must have to travel more than 100 KM (one way) to attend the Get In The Game Symposium. For more details on the Travel Subsidy Program, click here.
2010 will be the fourth year for the Get In The Game Symposium. The Participation Committee hopes to hold the Get In The Game Symposium on a regular basis moving forward.
Is it important for my Association to attend the Get In The Game Symposium even if my Association is well run?

What are the topics that will be discussed at the Get In The Game Symposium?
Major topics discussed at past Get In The Game Symposiums included: The role of the Participation Committee and Softball Ontario, What’s happening in other Provinces, Testimonials from successful programs in Ontario, promoting the house league association, recruiting volunteers, Learn to Play & BlastBall, and improving house league in Ontario, Coaching and Umpiring information, and much more!

How will my Association and I benefit from attending the Get In The Game Symposium?
The Get In The Game Symposium is an opportunity to learn and share with other Associations. In the past, Softball Ontario has invited guest speakers and experts on many topics, including volunteer management as well as marketing and promotions.

What is the goal of the Get In The Game Symposium?f
The goal of the Symposium is to bring Minor Softball Associations together to discuss the issues that are surrounding Softball in Ontario today. We hope to learn how to improve programs aimed at Minor Softball Associations, and allow the Associations to learn from each other in an open forum.
